The Orioles will hold the 5th Annual OriolesREACH Birdland Golf Classic at The Founders Club in Sarasota, Fla., on Feb. 23, with the event benefiting the Miracle League of Manasota. The Miracle League is an organization dedicated to providing an opportunity for every person to play baseball, regardless of their ability.

The Orioles, along with the Orioles Wives, Oriole Advocates, WJZ-TV and the Maryland Food Bank will hold their 28th annual Food and Funds Drive at Oriole Park at Camden Yards July 11-13, during the Orioles' series with the New York Yankees. Members of these groups will collect non-perishable food items and monetary donations from fans at each entrance from the time gates open until the middle of the second inning during games this weekend.
The drive benefits soup kitchens, food pantries and emergency shelters throughout Maryland. Von Paris Moving and Storage will pick up and deliver all items donated. Fans who cannot attend the games can donate food online at www.mdfoodbank.org/orioles.
The 5th Annual Casey Cares 5K at Oriole Park at Camden Yards takes place on Saturday, August 2 at 8 a.m. Nick Markakis, and his wife, Christina, will serve as Race Ambassadors. The 3.1 mile run/walk begins at Oriole Park at Camden Yards and ends on the field. Runners will receive a race shirt, race packet and refreshments. Race winners in each age group will be proudly announced in a pregame ceremony.
Every Monday and Thursday home game, former Orioles players will sign autographs on Eutaw Street as part of the Orioles Alumni Autograph Series. On Monday, April 27, BRIAN BASS, LARRY BIGBIE, JACKIE BRANDT, and AL BUMBRY are scheduled to greet fans and sign autographs from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Current Orioles pitchers BRAD BRACH and DARREN O'DAY and former Orioles outfielder AL BUMBRY will help teach the fundamentals of baseball to more than 100 Fort Meade Little Leaguers at the Fort Meade Youth Clinic on Saturday, May 2, from 11:00 a.m. to noon. Four stations throughout the clinic will highlight pitching, fielding, baserunning, and hitting. The Oriole Bird will make a special appearance and the Orioles will present each participant with an Orioles cap, bag, and necklace. ESSKAY will provide hot dogs, and the USO will provide beverages and snacks to all participants. The Orioles have also donated tickets to the participants for Saturday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays at 7:05 p.m.
The Orioles Hall of Fame Luncheon, sponsored by the Oriole Advocates, founders of the Orioles Hall of Fame, will be held Friday, August 14, beginning at noon in the Warehouse at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. The luncheon will honor Melvin Mora, Gary Roenicke and Fred Uhlman, Sr. (John Lowenstein will be unable to attend due to a previous engagement.)
That night they will be honored during on-field ceremony prior to the game vs. the Oakland Athletics at 7:05 p.m.
In an effort to help further support BARCS' efforts to find safe homes for dogs and cats in the area, Orioles players J.J. HARDY, TOMMY HUNTER, DAVID LOUGH, BUD NORRIS, CHRIS TILLMAN and MATT WIETERS will appear at BARCS (301 Stockholm Street) for an autograph signing from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on August 12. Fans must purchase a calendar at the event in order to receive an autograph, and fans attending the event may park for free in Lot D on the south side of M&T Bank Stadium.
The Oriole Advocates will conduct their 2014 Cardboard to Leather™ collection at Oriole Park, presented by Legg Mason. The Oriole Advocates created the program in 1992 to provide new and used baseball and softball equipment to underprivileged youth in developing countries. Since the program started, the Oriole Advocates have distributed tons of equipment to youth baseball players throughout the world in places such as Afghanistan, Aruba, Belgrade, Belize, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Nicaragua, and Venezuela. Fans are encouraged to bring new or gently used baseball equipment to the Orioles game on Saturday to be used in this year's distribution. Financial donations will also be accepted to help with shipping costs.
The Oriole Advocates Charitable Foundation will also conduct a silent auction of sports memorabilia at the game on Saturday, on the lower concourse near Gate E. Fans will have the chance to bid on baseballs, photos, bats, and jerseys autographed by current Orioles stars including CHRIS DAVIS, RYAN FLAHERTY, MIGUEL GONZALEZ, J.J. HARDY, TOMMY HUNTER, BRIAN MATUSZ, BUCK SHOWALTER, CHRIS TILLMAN and MATT WIETERS. Funds raised from the auction will be used to support the Cardboard to Leather Program™, which this year will provide baseball equipment to players in Mexico, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, and other Latin and Central America countries. Bids will be accepted from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
The Orioles will host LUNGevity Foundation's Breathe Deep Baltimore, a walk to raise funds and awareness for lung cancer in memory of Orioles' late Public Relations Director, Monica Pence Barlow, on September 20 at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.
