Phillies Blood Drive set for Aug. 21 08/17/2011 12:27 PM ETMLB.com
The Phillies Blood Drive returns on Sunday, August 21 at Citizens Bank Park, from 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. The event, held in partnership with the American Red Cross, is being held to meet the critical need for blood this summer and offers presenting donors some rare opportunities. Among them: - All presenting blood donors will receive a Special Event Shane Victorino Jersey Style T-Shirt. The Phillies Blood Drive is one of the largest blood drives in the region. Since 2006, the Phillies and American Red Cross have teamed up to host nine Phillies Blood Drives at Citizens Bank Park, collecting nearly 7,000 units of blood and potentially helping to save over 17,000 lives across the region. HOW TO DONATE Fans who cannot attend the Phillies Blood Drive, but would still like to contribute to the cause, can contact the American Red Cross at 1-800-RED CROSS or visit www.redcrossblood.org. PARKING & ENTRANCE Thank you for your interest in donating at the Phillies Blood Drive! At this time, all donor appointment slots at Citizens Bank Park are filled. However, there are several blood drives in your area which you can also donate at.
