Twins is a youth team made up of kids ages 7 and up. The youth learn and practice fundamental softball skills like batting, fielding and base running in addition to the competition of games in this fun adapted sport. Practices and games are at the Brooklyn Park Community Activity Center for two months beginning in early June. Courage Center is a Minnesota-based rehabilitation and resource center that advances the lives of children and adults experiencing barriers to health and independence.
The Twins and the Twins Community Fund provide cash grants and other resources to assist the team with travel, uniforms and other needs.
Pepsi Refresh Grant
In 2010, the Minnesota Twins partnered with Courage Center to encourage more than two million people to vote for the Junior Rolling Twins to receive a Pepsi Refresh Grant to construct a specialty new field for the team. Pepsi granted $200,000 to construct the new field. Currently, the new field is under construction in Brooklyn Park, MN.
