After going 5-1 since their return from the West Coast, the Phillies take a two-day jaunt to New York to face an equally-hot Mets team.

Philadelphia is in the midst of an 11-4 stretch, during which it has been without the services of Placido Polanco and Billy Wagner. The Phillies have also gone 4-1 without Jim Thome, who's missed the past five games with a strained right index finger.

Eric Milton starts for the Phillies. In his only other appearance against the Mets, he pitched four scoreless innings.

Of the Phillies walking wounded, Thome expects to return the earliest on Tuesday.
