The Phillies will be without a key member of their team when they take on the Marlins in the second game of the five-game set Saturday at Citizens Bank Park.

David Bell, who had been a Phillie since 2003, was traded to Milwaukee for Minor League right-handed reliever Wilfrido Laureano after Friday night's game. Abraham Nunez will become the club's regular third baseman.

Nunez is batting just .157 on the season, mostly as a pinch-hitter, and hopes that with some more time, that mark will see significant improvement.

"I can't say that I'm going to hit for sure, because this is a tough game," Nunez said. "But I think if you get some at-bats in a row, you'll be able to produce."

The infield is taking another hit at shortstop with Jimmy Rollins still nursing a hamstring injury. Chris Coste is the only other backup infielder on the team, but Bell's departure does leave one vacant spot on the 25-man roster to be filled before Saturday's game.

Cole Hamels, who takes the mound for the Phillies, is coming off a strange outing which saw him strike out 12 batters in the first five innings, but give up seven runs.

Facing Hamels in the all-lefty pitching matchup is Marlins ace Dontrelle Willis. Willis is a hard-luck 6-7 on the season, and has lost each of his last three starts against the Phillies.
