at St. Petersburg, Fla.
Saturday, March 10

Phillies at the plate: Non-roster invitee Jason Jaramillo hit a three-run homer off of Rays reliever Scott Dohmann in the seventh inning that tied the game at 4. Former first-round pick Brennan King had two singles and a double.

Rays at the plate: Akinori Iwamura snapped an 0-for-9 start with an RBI single in the first. Jorge Cantu and Brendan Harris also had RBI singles in the inning. Carl Crawford singled in the fifth and stole his fifth base in five tries this spring.

Phillies on the mound: Freddy Garcia made his first Grapefruit League start of the spring and allowed three runs on five hits and two walks over three innings.

Rays on the mound: Jae Seo pitched three innings and surrendered one run on three hits. Iwamura made a nice play on a bunt in Seo's final inning, and the right-hander waited on the field to congratulate his teammate after the inning.

Grapefruit League records: Phillies 5-5; Rays 1-8.

Up next: The Rays will host the Astros in a 1:05 p.m. ET game on Sunday at Progress Energy Park. Right-hander James Shields will start for the Rays, which will give fans a chance to see firsthand what has been called the best changeup in the organization. Once Shields finishes his three-inning stint, he will be followed by Mitch Talbot, Shawn Camp, Ruddy Lugo, Seth McClung and Chad Orvella.

Left-hander Jamie Moyer will start for the Phillies on Sunday at 1:05 p.m. against the Tigers in Clearwater.
