Phillies at the plate: Three of the Phillies' runs on the afternoon came courtesy of solo homers. Ryan Howard, Pat Burrell and Pedro Feliz all went deep. Burrell added a double to his line before the afternoon was over, making him Philadelphia's only player with more than one hit in the game.

Pirates at the plate: The Pirates' first five hits were doubles and the offense never slowed down after that. Outfielder Nate McLouth finished the day 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Shortstop Jack Wilson reached base in all four of his at-bats -- with a double, single and two walks -- and drove in a run. Left fielder Jason Bay had his first multi-RBI day as well.

Phillies on the mound: J.D. Durbin was knocked around hard for the third time in three starts this spring. He lasted 3 1/3 innings, giving up eight hits, five runs and two walks. Facing his former team for the second time this spring, Shane Youman struggled with his control again, allowing three walks and one hit as the Pirates touched him for two runs.

Pirates on the mound: Focusing on throwing more over the inside part of the plate than he has in the past, Ian Snell looked closer to regular-season form while allowing one run and two hits in four innings. Ty Taubenheim and Byun-Hung Kim each allowed solo homers in their one innings of relief.

Grapefruit League records: Phillies 4-9-1; Pirates 4-8.

Up next: The Pirates will enjoy their only off-day of the spring on Tuesday before resuming play against the Blue Jays on Wednesday. Starter Tom Gorzelanny will throw on Tuesday to stay on his normal rest. The Pirates' game against the Blue Jays in Dunedin, Fla., on Wednesday at 1:05 p.m. ET will give lefty Zach Duke his third opportunity to take the mound this spring.

As for the Phillies, they also have an open date on Tuesday before hosting the Reds at 7:05 p.m. ET on Wednesday. Right-hander Ryan Madson is slated to start that contest for the Phillies and will be followed by Carlos Carrasco, Francisco Rosario and Clay Condrey.
