Howard homers, but Phils fall to Twins

Twins on the mound: Right-hander Kevin Slowey, a candidate for the fifth-starter's job, allowed one run on two hits and a walk over four innings. He struck out five, but served up Howard's home run.
Phillies on the mound: Making his first start in nine days, Adam Eaton tossed three scoreless innings, allowing five hits and striking out two. Durbin turned in another rough outing, surrendering five runs on five hits and two walks. He struck out one.
Grapefruit League records: Phillies (5-12-1), Twins (10-7).Up next for Twins: Minnesota's projected Opening Day starter, Livan Hernandez, will make his fourth start of the spring on Sunday afternoon against the Blue Jays in a 12:05 CT contest at Hammond Stadium in Fort Myers, Fla. Hernandez is set to face Toronto right-hander Dustin McGowan. Twins right-hander Jesse Crain, who suffered a bruised right knee when he was struck by a line drive on Thursday, is also scheduled to pitch.
Up next for Phillies: Opening Day starter Brett Myers travels to Sarasota, Fla., to face the Reds at Ed Smith Stadium on Sunday at 1:05 ET. The righty is making his second Grapefruit League start, while two others came in Minor League games. Rule 5 Draft pick Travis Blackley and Clay Condrey are also scheduled to pitch.
