MILWAUKEE -- Jayson Werth couldn't look away, and really, why would he?
It was hard to ignore what was headed in his direction in the seventh inning in Colorado on Tuesday -- an adventurous blonde in her mid-20s, wearing jeans, a white bra and a sweatshirt that she waved over her head.
By the time she reached Werth, the streaker had already been apprehended by Rockies security, and was being led off the expansive outfield.
"It's one of the more unexpected things I've seen," Werth said a day later in Milwaukee. "Unusual. Funny. Definitely funny. I think she had a little too much to drink. The babbling on the way by gave it away."
Werth was shown on camera holding a glove in front of his face, clearly laughing. Always quick, announcer Harry Kalas said, "Notice Werth didn't cover his eyes."
"I'm like, 'Thanks, Harry,'" Werth said. "I'm sure my wife was listening. That was a train wreck."
Other Phillies were amused at the reaction of Pat Burrell, who moved toward the streaker for a better view, rather than taking cover to avoid possible injury.
