Pirates trade C. Wilson to Mariners
Club also acquires two Minor Leaguers from Indians
PITTSBURGH -- The Pirates traded Minor League first baseman Craig Wilson to the Mariners for a player to be named on Thursday.
Wilson, who played for the Pirates from 2001-06, signed a Minor League contract with Pittsburgh on April 8. He hit .230 with 10 home runs and 27 RBIs for Triple-A Indianapolis this season.
The trade was one of two Minor League transactions the Bucs pulled off on Thursday.
The Pirates also acquired right-hander Dan Reichert and infielder/outfielder Ryan Mulhern from the Indians for cash considerations. Both players will be assigned to Triple-A Indianapolis.
