PHILADELPHIA -- The Phillies have agreed to terms on a Minor League contract with right-hander Dave Bush.
The deal is pending a physical.
If Bush passes his physical, he will report to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
Bush, who went to Conestoga High School in Berwyn, Pa., went 0-1 with a 5.79 ERA in 17 appearances before the Texas Rangers designated him for assignment and released him in July. He went 1-2 with a 6.14 ERA in five starts with Triple-A Iowa before he opted out of his contract with the Cubs on Thursday to become a free agent.
Bush earned the only win against the Phillies in the 2008 National League Division Series, when he pitched with the Milwaukee Brewers.
