Phillies Press Release
The Phillies and Bright House Networks Agree to Naming Rights Extension
The Phillies and Bright House Networks have agreed to exercise a five-year option that will extend the corporate naming rights for the Clearwater facility through 2018.
Bright House Networks has been the naming rights partner with the Phillies and the City of Clearwater since the ballpark opened in 2004. The original deal with the digital cable, internet and phone service provider would have expired in October 2013.
Financial terms of the deal were not released.
“Bright House Networks has proudly renewed our sponsorship of Bright House Field,” said Mike Robertson, Senior Vice President of Florida Operations for Bright House Networks. “It is our privilege to partner with the Phillies and the City of Clearwater to bring the best in Spring Training and Threshers baseball, along with other great events, to the Tampa Bay community.”
“We are incredibly pleased to continue this partnership with Bright House Networks,” said John Timberlake, Phillies Director of Florida Operations and General Manager for the Clearwater Threshers. “They have been a great corporate partner over the years and we look forward to working together in the greater Clearwater community for many years to come.”
In addition to being the home of Clearwater Threshers and Phillies Spring Training games, Bright House Field will host the 2012 Big East Baseball Tournament in May 2012.
