All-Star outfielder Hunter Pence will host his first charity event as a member of the Philadelphia Phillies and help raise money and awareness for three local charities.
On Thursday May 31st, Hunter, other Phillies players and local celebrities will gather at the Moshulu, a historic four-masted sailing ship that also hosts an award-winning restaurant. Guests will enjoy food and drink, live entertainment and participate in fun games, including a ping-pong tournament with a chance to play against Hunter. There will also be a silent and live auction and a raffle for a chance to win a 2-year lease on a luxury vehicle.
The Food and Fun Fest will benefit Make-A-Wish Philadelphia & Susquehanna Valley, Philabundance, and Phillies Charities, Inc.
“I’ve enjoyed my short time in Philadelphia and was looking for a way to give back to the community and thought this would be a fun way to do it,” Hunter said. “All three charities are doing work that I believe in. Let’s go eat and raise some money!”
A limited number of general admission tickets will go on sale on April 25 at noon ET at http://hunterpence.ticketleap.com/letsgoeat/. Varying levels of sponsorships are available for companies wishing to participate.
