Rays announce 2017 Spring Training schedule and ticket information
The Rays are scheduled to play 18 spring training home games at Charlotte Sports Park, beginning on Saturday, February 25 against the Pittsburgh Pirates. All home games begin at 1:05 p.m., with one exception.

Rays announce changes within baseball operations department
The Tampa Bay Rays today announced several changes within their baseball operations department. Erik Neander has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Baseball Operations/General Manager. Among his duties, Neander will focus on the department's player evaluation and procurement processes. Chaim Bloom has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Baseball Operations. Together, Neander and Bloom will directly oversee all functions within baseball operations.

Local nonprofits to be recognized through Duke Energy's "Victories for Veterans"
Through the Victories for Veterans program, a unique partnership with the Tampa Bay Rays, the Duke Energy Foundation committed $1,000 for every Rays win this season to charities that support veterans in the community. In reviewing the submissions from area nonprofits for the program's funds, Duke Energy has increased its pledge to $90,600 to be distributed to 10 local nonprofit organizations.
Rays to honor retiring David Ortiz on Sunday
On Sunday, September 25, prior to the Tampa Bay Rays-Boston Red Sox 1:10 p.m. game at Tropicana Field, the Rays will honor retiring Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz in a pregame ceremony, which will include parting gifts from Rays players and the Rays organization to be revealed when the festivities begin at 12:55 p.m.
