Keith Ginter of Brewers named National League Player of the Week
tickets for any Major League Baseball game
Keith Ginter of the Milwaukee Brewers, who led the League with 11 RBI last week, has been named Bank of America Presents the National League Player of the Week for September 27-October 3. Bank of America, the official bank of Major League Baseball, is the presenting sponsor of the National League and American League Player of the Week Awards, which reflect the bank's long-standing tradition of promoting and recognizing higher standards of accomplishment.

Ginter hit .407 (11-for-27) including three home runs, three doubles and one triple. He had a slugging percentage of .926, an on-base percentage of .424 and 25 total bases, also leading the League.

Other nominees this past week included: Philadelphia teammates Bobby Abreu (.556, 2 RBI), Placido Polanco (.440, 7 RBI) and Jimmy Rollins (.385, 9 RBI); Chicago's Moises Alou (.438, 7 RBI); Jeff Kent (.435, 5 RBI), Brandon Backe (2-0, 2.70 ERA) and Roy Oswalt (2-0, 1.93 ERA) of the Astros; Juan Pierre (.438, 2 RBI) of the Marlins; Colorado's Todd Helton (.440, 5 RBI); Juan Rivera (.556, 5 RBI) of the Expos; Marquis Grissom (.391, 8 RBI) and Jason Schmidt (2-0, 3.00 ERA) of the Giants; Josh Beckett (2-0, 1.80 ERA) of the Marlins; Randy Johnson (2-0, 1.20 ERA) of the Diamondbacks; Pittsburgh's Oliver Perez (2-0, 0.71 ERA); and Paul Wilson (1-0, 1.00 ERA) of the Reds.
