Three big games with the Atlanta Braves and a big Phillies Alumni Weekend are scheduled for Citizens Bank Park on Friday, Aug. 10 through Sunday, Aug. 12.

Friday, Aug. 10:
One of the most respected men ever to wear Phillies pinstripes will be given the highest honor by the organization during the annual Toyota Wall of Fame induction ceremonies.

The late John Vukovich will be inducted posthumously into the Phillies Wall of Fame. Dallas Green, the 2006 inductee, will present the 2007 award to Vuk's family--wife Bonnie, daughter Nikki Stolarick and son Vince.

On-field ceremonies will include Wall of Famers Robin Roberts, Steve Carlton, Mike Schmidt, Dick Allen, Greg Luzinski, Garry Maddox, Tony Taylor, Bob Boone and Green. All fans will receive a John Vukovich commemorative print highlighting his career, courtesy of Toyota. Some of the Wall of Famers will greet fans at the gates starting at 5:45 p.m.

Ceremonies begin at 6:50 with the Phillies-Braves game to follow. Fans are urged to arrive early for the festivities. Ashburn Alley gates open at 4:35 p.m. The other gates open at 5:35 p.m.

The Wall of Fame, which was started in 1978 by the Phillies, is located in Ashburn Alley at Citizens Bank Park. The Philadelphia Zoo is the sponsor of the display of bronze plaques.

Saturday, Aug. 11:
Phillies Alumni will be introduced on the field pre-game starting at 6:35 p.m. Ashburn Alley gates will open at 4:35 p.m.; the others, 5:05 p.m.

In addition to the Wall of Fame Phillies, other Alumni include Gene Garber, Ricky Jordan, Tyler Green, Tommy Greene, Bob Dernier, Mitch Williams, Mike Rogodzinski, Art Mahaffey, Rico Brogna, Mark Leiter, Von Hayes, Darren Daulton and others.

The ceremonies will also include the presentation of the first John Vukovich Award, presented annually to an instructor in the Phillies organization that embodies the characteristics of the late Phillies player-coach: loyalty, dedication, competitiveness, knowledge, honesty and a terrific work ethic. Bullpen coach Ramon Henderson is the first winner.

All fans will receive an Upper Deck baseball card pack of current players. Each pack will contain one Alumni card. Five hundred of the cards will be autographed by five different current Phillies (Jamie Moyer, Shane Victorino, Carlos Ruiz, Adam Eaton and Greg Dobbs). One hundred fans will also win Majestic Alumni jerseys (Bob Boone, Gary Matthews, Larry Andersen, Mitch Williams and Darren Daulton).

Several Alumni will also greet fans at the gates beginning at 5:45 p.m.

Sunday, Aug. 12:
An Alumni Batting Challenge will take place pre-game, a first for Citizens Bank Park. The fun contest will begin at 7:10 p.m. ESPN has selected the game as a national Sunday Night Baseball telecast with a game time of 8:05 p.m. Ashburn Alley gates will open at 5:35 p.m.; the others, 6:05 p.m.

Three two-man teams will compete: Ricky Jordan/Mitch Williams, Bob Dernier/Tyler Green and Rico Brogna/Tommy Greene. Bullpen coach Ramon Henderson will be the pitcher.

Fans 14 and under will receive a Chase Utley retro jersey, courtesy of Keystates Chrysler Jeep.

A Silent Auction of autographed memorabilia from Phillies Alumni and current players will take place at the First Base Gate Plaza from the time the gates open until 9:30 p.m. All proceeds will benefit Phillies Charities, Inc.
