Phillies Announce 33 Spring Training Games on Broadcast Schedule

Spring training games in Florida begin on Wednesday as does the Phillies broadcast schedule, Rob Brooks, Manager, Broadcasting, announced today.

Of the 34 games in Florida, 33 will be broadcast: 20 games on phillies.com and 13 on WPHT 1210 AM. Five of the games will be televised, three by Comcast SportsNet and two by WPHL TV, myphl17, the Phillies' new rightsholder.

The first WPHT radio broadcast is Wednesday when the Phillies meet the Pittsburgh Pirates in Bradenton, Fla., at 1:05 p.m. Scott Franzke and Larry Andersen will be on the air. The same two broadcasters will be behind the microphones on Thursday, the first of 20 games on the internet. The Blue Jays will be the opponent for the 1:05 p.m. game at Bright House Field.

Comcast SportsNet's first telecast is Saturday, 1:05 p.m. against Tampa Bay in Clearwater. WPHL's initial telecast is Sunday, March 15 (St. Louis Cardinals).

The lone game that will not be covered is Friday, March 27, Phillies vs. Astros at Kissimmee.
