Phillies host 1980's Retro Night on Thursday
Fans are encouraged to dress to impress!
The 1980's are making their way back to Citizens Bank Park on Thursday - and fans are invited to get out their shoulder pads and Ray-Bans and join the fun.
The Phillies are hosting 1980's Retro Night before and during the 7:05 p.m. Phillies-Diamondbacks game. Throughout the ballpark, there will be activities and fun promotions highlighting this popular decade.
1980's Dance Party on the Bud Light Rooftop on Ashburn Alley, 5:30-6:30 p.m. DJ Jon Joaquin will be playing the 80's tunes. Special guests include the Hot Pants Girls, Miami Vice's Crockett & Tubbs (impersonators), Pierre Robert (WMMR DJ) - who will also be throwing out the ceremonial first pitch and Eddie Bruce (original host of Channel 17's Dancin' on Air). Prizes and surprises for best dressed and more.
Phillies players will be featured as TV characters from the 1980's in their Phanavision headshots, including Ryan Howard as Mr. T.
Plenty of 1980's entertainment including the return of Cash Scramble... "Michael Jackson" dancing with the Phanatic in the 7th inning; break dancers at the First Base Plaza, pre-game performances by a Journey tribute band (field) and 52 Pickup playing 80's music (McFadden's). National Anthem performed by Tommy Conwell, front man for the Philadelphia-based band Tommy Conwell & The Young Rumblers, Take Me Out to the Ballgame performed by John DeBella and his kazoo and plenty of in-game treatment from 1980's music, movie clips, TV, trivia and more!
Mitchell & Ness Alley Store will have a 1980's Phillies Memorabilia Display and feature appearances by the Hot Pants Patrol and more.
