Rollins not in Phillies' starting lineup
All-Star shortstop strikes out as pinch-hitter in ninth inning
By Ken Mandel / MLB.com
As he said Wednesday, Rollins said he could be available to pinch-hit, though manager Charlie Manuel would like to stay away from that."I could hit, though I [would] limp to first," he said. "Crunch time, adrenaline, I'll be ready." Rollins was first injured in the eighth inning while lunging back to second base on a pickoff play on Tuesday. He had started 230 straight games before Wednesday, or every game since the second game of a doubleheader on July 30, 2006.
