Ruiz OK after straining neck in Classic
Phillies catcher involved in collision, but in lineup Sunday

Maybe Ruiz had a feeling.
Like a pain in the neck. Ruiz suffered a strained neck playing in the Classic on Saturday, when Panama lost to Puerto Rico, 7-0, at Hiram Bithorn Stadium in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
But Ruiz is said to be fine. He took batting practice and is the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Dominican Republic.
Phillies assistant general manager Scott Proefrock said Ruiz was involved in a collision, and while chasing a popup later in the game, Ruiz flipped off his mask and felt a pinch in his neck.
Ruiz left the game.
"He was treated, sent home after the game and they'll reevaluate him today when he comes back in," Proefrock said before the Phillies played the Braves on Sunday at Champion Stadium. "As the game progressed, I guess he felt it and they took him out as a precaution."
