Ibanez takes lead in NL outfield voting

Phils fans also boost Utley, Rollins to head of the pack

LOS ANGELES -- Phillies fans started a grassroots campaign two weeks ago to get Raul Ibanez elected to the National League All-Star team.

It is working, but they haven't stopped there.

Ibanez moved from sixth place two weeks ago to second place last week to first place this week among NL outfielders in the latest voting update. He joins Chase Utley, who leads second basemen, and Jimmy Rollins, who leads shortstops.

The Phillies are everywhere in the NL voting. Ryan Howard is second among first basemen; Carlos Ruiz is fifth among catchers; Pedro Feliz is fourth among third basemen; Shane Victorino is sixth and Jayson Werth eighth among outfielders.

Yes, every Phillies player ranks among the top vote getters at their respective positions.
