Hamels preparing for possible Game 5
Lefty in Philadelphia, working out while team plays in Denver

Hamels is back in Philadelphia, working out on his own while the Phillies play in Denver.
"He knows what he needs to do," said Phillies pitching coach Rich Dubee, asked about Hamels working out on his own.
It made no sense for Hamels to fly to Denver to join the team at Coors Field. Regardless of what happens in Game 3 on Sunday, Hamels would have flown to Philadelphia on Monday so he is well rested for a potential Game 5.
"He's going to long toss, probably throw a little bit," Phillies manager Charlie Manuel said. "He'll be ready to pitch, so that's no problem."
Hamels allowed seven hits and four runs in five innings in a 5-4 loss to the Rockies on Thursday in Game 2, but Manuel said he thought Hamels pitched better than his line indicated.
"First of all, his performance the other day was not a bad performance," Manuel said. "We were behind, 4-0, when he left the game. I thought his stuff was pretty good, and actually I liked how he threw."
