Free family event features first public reading of Phanatic's soon-to-be released new book

Kids of all ages are invited to have fun with the Phillies mascot and other special guests during a “Phanatic Playdate” at the Market & Shops at the Comcast Center on Saturday, June 9, from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

The free event will feature lots of Phillies fun, including the first public reading of the Phillie Phanatic’s soon-to-be unveiled new book: The Phillie Phanatic’s Friendly Games. Guests will also have the chance to mingle with the Phillies Ballgirls and receive a rally towel (while supplies last). Scott Palmer, Phillies Director of Public Affairs, will emcee the event. In addition, 98.1 WOGL will be onsite playing music for the festivities.

As part of the day, Market Merchants will also offer kid-friendly lunch specials, puppet making art and crafts, an interactive gaming station, cupcake decorating and more.

The Market & Shops at the Comcast Center is located at 1701 JFK Boulevard (lower level) in Philadelphia.
