Outfielder Roman Quinn, the Phillies' No. 5 prospect, collected four hits and two stolen bases Tuesday night, as Class A Advanced Clearwater defeated Fort Myers, 5-3.
Quinn went 4-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI. Phillies No. 1 prospect J.P. Crawford added a hit and two runs.
Quinn led off the game with a single and singled in each of his next three plate appearances, before Fort Myers reliever D.J. Johnson finally got him to fly out to left to end the eighth inning. It was the first four-hit game of Quinn's career and extended his hitting streak to seven games.
After missing the first six weeks of the season as he recovered from offseason knee surgery, Quinn is hitting .248/.331/.338 with 19 stolen bases in 57 games. Despite missing so much time, he ranks sixth in the Florida State League in stolen bases.
Quinn also moved from shortstop to center field in June when Crawford was promoted from Class A Lakewood. Wednesday was Quinn's 38th game at his new position, where he has made four errors.
