Latos takes on Bucs hoping to stay undefeated
Mat Latos tries to get to 7-0 as the Reds play host to Charlie Morton and the Pirates in the second of a four-game set on Tuesday at Great American Ball Park. The Pirates have lost the first game of all five of their four-game series this season only to win the next three each time.

Four homers back Leake as Reds win series opener
Mike Leake continued his strong pitching and was supported by home runs from Zack Cozart, Todd Frazier, Joey Votto and Jay Bruce in a 4-1 victory over the Pirates on Monday at Great American Ball Park.

Cueto OK after DL return, but time will tell
On Monday, the day after ace Johnny Cueto successfully returned again with six innings and 88 pitches in a 5-1 win over the Brewers, he appeared to have no ill effects. But it wasn't totally clear, yet.

First-round pick Ervin readying for pro debut
Outfielder and the Reds' first-round pick in the 2013 First-Year Player Draft Phillip Ervin, who signed his contract on June 10, will begin his pro career at Rookie-level Billings. The Mustangs' season begins on Thursday.

Cueto officially activated; Villarreal optioned
On Sunday morning, the Reds made Johnny Cueto's return from the disabled list official before he started the series finale against the Brewers. To make room for the Reds ace, the team optioned reliever Pedro Villarreal, who was up for one day, back to Triple-A Louisville.

Lefty Marshall feeling positive as rehab progresses
Sean Marshall, who is rehabbing from inflammation in his shoulder, was in the clubhouse before Sunday's game against the Brewers, and the left-handed reliever said he's feeling positive about his progress.

Every day is Father's Day in Reds' clubhouse
Along with Sunday being the rubber game between the Reds and Brewers, it was also Father's Day at Great American Ball Park. Several players' and coaches' sons were in and around the clubhouse, but that's nothing new for Dusty Baker's team.

Bailey can't contain Brewers as Reds shut out
Unfortunately for the Reds, Homer Bailey still hasn't figured out the Brewers and batters were stifled by Yovani Gallardo, as Cincinnati lost, 6-0, in front of a crowd of 37,519 at Great American Ball Park on Saturday.

Area kids compete in annual Pitch, Hit & Run event
Twenty-four boys and girls ages 7-14 took part in Major League Baseball's Pitch, Hit & Run competition Saturday at Great American Ball Park. Separated by gender and split into four different age groups, the participants challenged each other at the plate, with their arms and on the basepaths.

It was only fitting that Homer Bailey -- the only active Red to throw a no-hitter -- took the hill to start Saturday's game against the Brewers.
