The Blue Jays hit four home runs to help complete the series sweep over the Tigers in a 9-2 victory on Sunday at Rogers Centre. Josh Donaldson, Edwin Encarnacion, Kevin Pillar and Russell Martin went yard as the Blue Jays won their 21st game of the month, one shy of a franchise record.

8/29/2015 | Blue Jays' momentum shows no signs of slowing

Josh Thole packed for Bluefield, Va., after he was optioned to the Blue Jays' rookie affiliate following Friday's win over the Tigers at Rogers Centre. Bluefield's season ends Sept. 1, at which point the Blue Jays can recall the 28-year-old catcher.

8/28/2015 | Osuna reaches AL high with 16th straight save

With Roberto Osuna taking the mound, the Blue Jays could've left their seven other position players -- aside from the catcher -- on the bench in the ninth. It wouldn't have made any difference, as the 20-year-old closer struck out the side on 12 pitches to lock down Toronto's 5-3 win over Detroit on Friday.

8/28/2015 | Hutchison returns as Blue Jays take on Tigers

The last time the Tigers' Buck Farmer took the mound, he took a no-hitter into the fifth inning, a scoreless outing into the sixth, then gave up three runs without retiring a batter. That in itself is progress, but his work doesn't get any easier against righty Drew Hutchison and a Blue Jays lineup that is crushing the ball against all sorts of pitching right now.
