The Orioles today announced that they have recalled LHP Ashur Tolliver from Triple-A Norfolk and placed LHP Brian Duensing on the 15-day disabled list (retroactive to June 20) with left elbow inflammation.
The Orioles Gulf Coast League (GCL) team will play its first home game of the 2016 season at the Ed Smith Stadium complex on Friday, June 24, at 12:00 p.m. against the GCL Rays. The GCL, which includes 17 teams, gives recently drafted or signed players their first experience in professional baseball.

The Orioles today announced a new partnership with Catholic Relief Services (CRS) Helping Hands, a volunteer meal-packaging program, to host the 10,000 Meal Challenge - a fundraising effort aimed at sending 10,000 meals to the women and children of Burkina Faso, West Africa. The Orioles and CRS Helping Hands will host a meal-packaging event at Oriole Park at Camden Yards on Saturday, August 20, from 10:15 a.m. to noon in which teams who reach certain fundraising levels will be invited to participate along with former Orioles players and Orioles staff.
The Orioles today announced that they have recalled RHP Odrisamer Despaigne (pronounced oh-DREE-sah-mer deh-SPAWN-yay) from Triple-A Norfolk and placed RHP Vance Worley on the 15-day disabled list with a right groin strain (retroactive to June 13).
The Orioles tonight selected RHP CODY SEDLOCK from the University of Illinois with their first selection as the 27th overall pick of the 2016 First-Year Player Draft. The Orioles also selected LHP KEEGAN AKIN at No. 54 overall from Western Michigan University and RHP MATTHIAS DIETZ at No. 69 overall from John A. Logan College (IL).
