Felipe Lopez matched his career high with six RBIs, four of which came on a tie-breaking grand slam in the eighth inning that sent the Nationals to a win over the Reds. Matt Chico, who lasted 5 2/3 innings and allowed four runs on three hits, didn't factor into the decision and is still looking for his first road win.

Ken Griffey Jr. tied Harmon Killebrew for eighth on the all-time home run list, but his two-run shot wasn't enough to lead the Reds to a win. Kirk Saarloos made his first start for Cincinnati and allowed three runs.
