Brandon Phillips' three-run homer in the sixth pushed Cincinnati's lead to six, but the relief corps unraveled down the stretch. Jon Coutlangus walked three straight in the seventh, and Gary Majewski was charged with three runs in the eighth when David Weathers allowed his inherited runners to score.

Kazuo Matsui's three-run triple in the eighth completed the wipe of a six-run deficit, and he singled and scored the winning run in the 10th as Colorado walked off with its second straight series victory. Willy Taveras and Garrett Atkins, who hit the game-winning single, had three hits each.
