The Marlins salvaged their series in Philadelphia by winning a rain-soaked affair at Citizens Bank Park. Josh Willingham, back in the lineup after dealing with kidney stones, knocked in two runs, then Alfredo Amezaga and Hanley Ramirez contributed two more in the ninth for the victory.
Rain fell for most of the Phillies' finale with the Marlins, a game the home team lost after closer Brett Myers gave up two runs in the ninth. Starter Kyle Kendrick pitched well, holding Florida hitless until the fourth. Philly's two runs came courtesy of Greg Dobbs' ground-rule double in the sixth.
