Phils pick up Hamels, victory
Braves' bats quiet late
Atlanta jumped all over All-Star Cole Hamels with a four-run first inning on a homer by Matt Diaz and RBI hits by Mark Teixeira and Brian McCann, but the visiting Braves were held scoreless the rest of the way. A costly throwing error by Yunel Escobar put the Phillies ahead to stay in the seventh.
