Sidney Ponson made sure that there would be no two-borough twin-bill sweep, leading the Yankees to a victory over the Mets in Game 2 at Shea Stadium. The righty, who won his 2008 debut for the Yankees, worked out of two early jams, while also getting three two-run innings from his teammates for the win.
