Trailing in the finale, the Phils went ahead when Pedro Feliz's bunt single in the eighth was thrown away by the Nats' Jesus Colome, allowing the tying and go-ahead runs to score. In his Major League debut, Sergio Escalona tossed a scoreless inning and earned the victory.
