Arthritis Walk

Join the Phillies in celebrating National Arthritis Month at the Philadelphia Arthritis Walk at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Park on May 17, 2008.

Fans are invited to join the Phillies and help raise awareness and funds to fight arthritis, the nation's leading cause of disability. Special Phillie guests include Scott Palmer, who will emcee the event, former Phillie and slugger Greg Luzinski who will sign autographs and ball girls and the most valuable mascot, the Phillie Phanatic will provide the entertainment. Be on the look out, the Phillies Phanatic may pass you on the walk route.

Arthritis is the leading cause of disability and the Philadelphia Arthritis Walk is a great event that raises awareness and funds to fight this chronic joint disease. It is a tremendous opportunity to help improve the lives of the 46 million Americans including the 300,000 children doctor-diagnosed with arthritis. Get your company involved or recruit friends and family members to form a team. Best of all, walk in honor of a loved one with arthritis and know you're making a difference by raising funds to support Arthritis Foundation research, public health and public policy efforts to improve lives of people with arthritis.

Each individual that registers and raises $100 will receive a ticket to a Philadelphia Phillies game and the official Arthritis Walk T-shirt. If you raise even more funds you will qualify for even more exciting incentive prizes after the event.

This is a family oriented event and we encourage that you bring your four-legged companions since animals get arthritis too!
