Jersey Shore crowned Carpenter Cup Champions

Jersey Shore defeated Burlington County 2-0 to claim the 29th Annual Carpenter Cup title. This is the fourth time Jersey Shore hoisted the Carpenter Cup trophy. Their last win was in 2010.

The Baseball Carpenter Cup Classic, named for former Phillies' owners Bob and Ruly Carpenter, began in 1986 and is nationally recognized as a vehicle to help promote the top area high school baseball players. This year, more than half of the players showcasing their skills were underclassmen (juniors, sophomores or freshman)!

HISTORY

Each year more than 400 high school players from the tri-state area are able to showcase their skills in front of major league scouts and college/university coaches. The Carpenter Cup has been a catalyst for many players to receive scholarships or admission to some of the country's finest universities.

Additionally many Carpenter Cup participants have gone on to big league careers including Mike Piazza, Ben Davis, Mike Koplove, David Miller and Bobby Higginson.
