For 15 years, The Phillies have been providing area educators with an in-depth educational booklet that uses baseball to teach and reinforce student knowledge in a variety of academic subjects. The 2015 Phil-Up with Knowledge Educational Booklet adheres to core standards and will be available beginning on March 31, 2015.
The 16-page 2015 Phil-Up with Knowledge Booklet will examine the history of Phillies' baseball, introduce students to the diverse background of Phillies' players, happenings at the ballpark and much more!
Area educators can register to receive the 2015 Phil-Up with Knowledge Educational Booklet beginning in mid-January 2015. Phil-Up with Knowledge is available online and will be sent via e-mail on March 31, 2015. Educators and students can use links embedded within the booklet to further expand their learning experience.
A print version is also available and can be ordered in lieu of or in conjunction with the online version.
On Tuesday, March 31, 2015 The Phillies will host their annual Teacher Workshop to share how teachers can incorporate Phil-Up with Knowledge into their classroom.
During the Workshop teachers will have the opportunity to share Phillies' based lesson plans with the group. Presenting teachers will be selected from Lesson Plan Contest entries (see next tab for details).
Registrations to the 2015 Teacher Workshop will begin in mid-January 2015 and will be accepted until the Workshop is full. Make sure to register early to ensure your spot.
