The Phillies wives were joined by the ALS Association, sponsors, the Phillies ballgirls and front office staff at the ballpark in stuffing over 5,000 goodie bags to be sold at the Phillies Phestival, the annual Phillies autograph and auction party to help Strike Out ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). A record $720,056 was raised at the event. The Phillies wives pitched in by visiting patients, working the silent auction and selling grab bags. Since the Phillies adopted ALS as their primary charity in 1984, we have raised over $9.4 million for the fight against ALS.
