Entry Fee Includes: Participants received an official Phillies 5K t-shirt and a voucher good for two tickets to a Phillies On-Deck Series game against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday, March 29 at 7:05 p.m. or Wednesday, March 30 at 4:05 p.m.* Following the run, participants and their guests were welcome to attend a post-race party and awards ceremony in Ashburn Alley. A limited number of concession stands were open. Post-race party ended at noon.

*Voucher for two tickets distributed at race packet pickup. Includes an option to purchase additional game tickets. Must redeem voucher and purchase additional tickets in person at Citizens Bank Park ticket windows at race packet pickup or race day only. Tickets are subject to availability.

• The race was capped at 3,000 participants.
• All participants must be pre-registered. There will be no race day registration.

Race Packet Pickup:

All registered participants are encouraged to pick up their race packet (t-shirt, ticket voucher, bib and chip) in advance of race day.

Phillies 5K Training Plan

• Every individual will begin at different fitness levels. Therefore interval training (running for 1-2mins, walk 2-3mins) is an excellent place to begin for most. As you become more adapt to training regularly, the ratio of running time (work: rest ratio) can increase with a decrease in walk time. Same parameters can be applied to cross training with moderate to high: low to moderate resistance ratio.
• Alternating days of running with cross training (cycling, elliptical or swimming) will create variety in training along with allowing for the body to recover from the rigorous impact of running.
• A simple way to determine the intensity of training is to be able to carry on a conversation, with the occasional deep breaths between sentences.
• Training attire - running shoes should fit your feet comfortably, and not be more than a year old. dress accordingly if training outdoors.
• Proper warmup before exercise is recommended.
• Stretching prior to and after training is suggested to prevent the onset of muscle soreness.
• Hydration is important, even in cooler conditions. eat regularly to maintain blood glucose levels during longer duration of training. breakfast is key!!
• Consult physician before exercise.
• Be sure to listen to your body, if you're sore, active rest (walking) or complete rest is recommended.

• Free parking in Lot M/N. Enter off of Pattison Ave. between Darien St. and 7th St.

Water/First Aid: Water will be available at the halfway point and at the finish. Emergency services will be present. Portable restrooms will be available on the course and also at the start/finish.

Bag Check: Bag check will be available inside the Home Plate Suite and Club Entrance (Pattison Ave.) from 7 a.m.-12 p.m.

Spectators: Spectators must enter Citizens Bank Park through the Left Field Gate (Corner of Citizens Bank Way and Phillies Drive).

Race Day Schedule:

• 7 a.m. - Race day packet pickup and bag check opens
• 8:45 a.m. - Race day packet pickup closes
• 9 a.m. - 5K run starts
• 10 a.m. - Awards Ceremony
• 12 p.m. - Event concludes and bag check closes

This event will be scored by L&M Computer Sports using the ChampionChip Timing System.

All participants will be issued a disposable chip to be attached to their shoe laces. Special mats will record a finishing time for each chip.

Securely attach the computer chip to your shoe with your shoe lace.

Your time will be recorded as you cross the finish line mats. The chip must pass within one foot of the finish line mats to assure activation.

Chips are programmed to match your assigned bib number.

Awards will be presented to the top overall male and female finishers and the top three male and female finishers in each age category below.

The top overall male and female finishers will be recognized on the field prior to the Phillies vs. Pirates game on Tuesday, March 29, 2011.

14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

Awards based on gun time, not chip time.

Awards Ceremony: 10 a.m., Ashburn Alley.
