The event is designed to allow those with developmental or physical delays, ages 16-30 in the greater Pittsburgh area, to enjoy an evening out. Monday, June 10
The 5th Annual Pirates Charities Sporting Clays Invitational will take place at Seven Springs Mountain Resort. Last year more than 140 participants spent the day with current and former Pirates players, plus broadcasters and front office executives, enjoying the scenic and challenging sporting clays course at Seven Springs. In the process, more than $60,000 was raised in support of the many and varied programs of Pirates Charities. For more information, please call (412) 325-4720.
Saturday, June 15
The Pirate Parrot invites fellow motorcycle riders to join him in a "Poker Run" to benefit the Western PA Prostate Cancer Foundation. During the ride, participants will visit four locations around the Pittsburgh area collecting Pirates player cards in an effort to have their "hand" match the Pirates starting lineup for the June 15th game against the Dodgers. Participants with the best hand will win great Pirates prizes including the chance to change the bases during the game!

Thursday, July 11
The 8th Annual Pirates Charities Golf Classic presented by WPAHS will take place at the Fox Chapel Golf Club. Last year, the tournament included more than 100 participants who had the opportunity to spend the afternoon on the golf course with Pirates players such as Andrew McCutchen, Neil Walker and Michael McKenry; former Pirates like Bill Mazeroski, Grant Jackson and Bob Friend; plus Pirates broadcasters and front office executives. In 2012, proceeds from the event benefited Pirates Charities programs, including Fields for Kids and Pittsburgh RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner-Cities). Friday, July 19 - Saturday, July 20
The Pirate Parrot invites fellow motorcycle riders to join him for his "Weekend Cruise to Cure Prostate Cancer" to benefit the Western PA Prostate Cancer Foundation. Interested riders will travel with the Pirate Parrot to Cincinnati for the Reds vs. Pirates game at Great American Ball Park on July 19th.

The Pirates will hold a Baseball Coaches Clinic on hitting at the Pirates Indoor Baseball Center (Boys & Girls Club, Shadyside, 6 Brownell Place) at 11 a.m. Pirates alumni member and current broadcaster John Wehner will conduct the clinic. Chaz Kellem, Pirates Manager of Diversity Initiatives, will be conduct a Diversity Seminar at Sewickley Academy. Kellem will speak with the lower school in the morning, and late-morning to the middle and upper school students.
