The Texas Rangers will host the Quintana Roo Tigers (Tigres de Quintana Roo) of the Triple-A Mexican League in an exhibition game on Thursday, March 27, at Globe Life Park in Arlington.
It will mark the third consecutive year that the Rangers have played a Mexican League team in Arlington as Texas defeated the Mexico City Red Devils in 2012 and 2013.
The Tigers, who are from Cancun, captured their second Mexican League championship in the last three seasons in 2013, defeating Monterrey, four games to one, in the final series.
Big League Weekend San Antonio Alamodome
The Big League Weekend kicks off with the Texas Rangers playing two exhibition games against the Astros prior to the 2014 regular season. The exhibition games will take place at the San Antonio Alamodome on Friday, March 28, at 7:05 p.m. and Saturday, March 29, at 1:05 p.m.
In the Alamodome's 21-year history, it has hosted two Major League games with the Texas Rangers.
